Know who you are talking to

Most anonymous chat sites cannot tell you whether the woman you are talking to is a woman, or whether her pictures are hers. Chatiw App was built to answer both questions, without asking anyone for an email, a phone number or an ID card.

Every message shows the sender's name and gender tag. On top of that, badges show what has actually been checked, and profiles show warning signs that other sites hide.

Voice check

Press the voice check, then read a random phrase out loud. Because the phrase is new each time, a recording made earlier will not match. When it passes, a Voice verified badge sits on the profile for 60 days.

In a private message you can also ask the other person to do a voice check for you, once. It is the quickest way to end a 'prove you are a girl' argument.

If a clip has to be checked by hand, a staff member listens only to confirm that a real woman is speaking. The clip is not kept on the person's profile.

Real pictures

Taken live: a photo taken with the phone camera inside the chat gets a Taken live badge that stays on the picture. It cannot be a saved photo of someone else, so a live photo on a profile is hard to fake.

REAL PICS: staff compare a person's pictures with a live check photo. The check uses a hand gesture, so no face is needed. When staff approve it, a green REAL PICS badge shows on the name. Staff can also mark single pictures in the room as verified.

HUMAN: staff checked that the person is real and not a bot. It does not say what they look like. That is what REAL PICS is for.

Warning signs on every profile

Open a profile to see whether the person joined today, whether they have a registered account, and whether they changed their gender tag recently. A changed gender tag stays on the profile for 7 days, so someone who switches to a woman's tag to get attention is easy to spot.

Profiles also show how often the person replies to private messages, so you can skip people who never answer.

Find verified people

The people list has filters for gender, age, voice verified and HUMAN. Turn on a filter to see only the people who passed that check.

Trans people must use the trans tag. Choosing the woman tag instead is against the rules and leads to a ban, so the woman tag means what it says.

Questions

Do I need an account to get verified?

No. The voice check and Taken live photos work without an account. An account only keeps your name and badges when you use another device.

Is the voice check only for women?

It is mainly for women, because men posing as women is the common problem. Anyone can ask for a voice check in a private message.

Do I have to show my face?

No. The picture check uses a hand gesture, not your face, and the voice check uses only your voice.

How long does a voice badge last?

60 days. After that, do the voice check again to keep the badge.
